Basti News In Hindi: Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a big change in Basti located in Uttar Pradesh. The party has now handed over the command of the district to Vivekananda Mishra. Before this, Mahesh Shukla was the District President of Basti unit of Bharatiya Janata Party. This decision of BJP is being discussed throughout the district before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The party had handed over the responsibility of the district to Mahesh Shukla in December 2019. After this, in the 2022 assembly elections, BJP lost four seats in Basti – Basti Sadar, Kaptanganj, Rudhauli and Mahadeva.

Not only this, in the municipal elections held in the year 2023, the municipality seat of Basti had gone out of the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party.

However, in the municipal elections, the position of the Bharatiya Janata Party was fine in the Nagar Panchayats. Not only this, victory was also registered in many blocks in the Gram Panchayat elections under the leadership of Mahesh Shukla.

Apart from Basti, BJP has fielded Anand Dwivedi in Lucknow mahanagar, Vinay Pratap Singh in Lucknow district, Buddhi Lal Pasi in Rae Bareli, Rajesh Shukla in Sitapur, Suli Singh in Lakhimpur, Ajit Babban in Hardoi, Trimyak Tiwari in Ambedkarnag, Arvind Maurya in Barabanki, Balrampur in Pradeep Singh, Brijesh Pandey in Bahraich, Amar Kishore Kashyap in Gonda, Uday Prakash Tripathi in Shravasti, Kamlesh Srivastava in Ayodhya metropolis and Sanjeev Singh in Ayodhya district have been given the responsibility.

Along with this, Awadhesh Katiyar in Unnao, Rajesh Gupta in Gorakhpur mahanagar, Yudhishthir Singh in Gorakhpur jila, Jagdamba Lal Srivastava in Sant Kabirnagar, Kanhaiya Paswan in Siddharthnagar, Sanjay Pandey in Maharajganj, Bhupendra Singh in Deoria, Durgesh Rai in Kushinagar, Krishnapal in Azamgarh, Suraj Srivastava in Lalganj, Nupur Aggarwal in Mau and Sanjay Yadav in Ballia have been appointed BJP district presidents.
